Care of Preserved Moss Pictures & Moss Walls

Preserved moss pictures from Healthyscape are made of real, naturally stabilized moss. Thanks to a gentle mixture of vegetable glycerin, natural dyes, and organic citric acid, the moss remains permanently soft, color-intensive, and easy to care for – without watering or fertilizing.

Humidity

Optimal room humidity: 40 – 65%.

If the air is dry, the moss can be lightly moistened with a fine care or preservation spray. Excess moisture evaporates, the moss takes what it needs, and remains supple.

Light Conditions

Avoid direct sunlight or strong UV light. If slight fading occurs, the color can be refreshed with a gentle care spray.

Cleaning

Regularly remove dust with a soft brush or air blower – please no water, no rubbing, no other cleaning agents!

How often should a moss wall be maintained?

We generally recommend a refresh every 1-2 years – depending on light, humidity, and environmental factors.

Will my moss fade again after the treatment?


Our color refreshment and preservation agent stabilizes the moss long-term and reliably protects the color pigments.

However, the duration of effectiveness depends on individual room conditions (light, humidity, air circulation).

Generally, the effect remains visible for 2 – 5 years before a new refreshment is recommended.

Can I refresh my moss wall myself?


For smaller areas, yes – we offer our color refreshing spray "Mossy Refresh" for this purpose.

For larger areas, we recommend our professional service.

Is real moss watered or misted?


Preserved moss does not require watering or regular moistening.

Our care spray contains distilled water and glycerin – the water evaporates after application, while the glycerin binds some of the moisture, thus preserving the natural suppleness and color effect of the moss.
